چکیده
Abstract Purpose To analyze the characteristics, related risk factors, and prognosis of suprachoroidal hemorrhage (SCH) associated with pars plana vitrectomy (PPV). Methods Cases SCH PPV excluding trauma were retrospectively analyzed in Beijing Tongren Hospital between January 2010 June 2020. The data collected included general data, myopia status, axial length, state crystalline lens, onset time, range, treatment method, visual prognosis, methods operation anesthesia. Patients divided into those to first (Group 1), second intraocular surgery vitrectomized eye 2). also classified by time either expulsive group (ESCH) delayed (DSCH). different groups analyzed. Results was studied 28 cases an incidence 0.06 %; 16 males 12 females. mean age patients (53.51 ± 10.21) years old, follow-up (24.94 14.60) days, length (28.21 3.14) mm. Of these cases, 21 as high myopia, 25 aphakia/ pseudophakic, 7 focal hemorrhage. Silicone oil removal occurred (43 %). Group 2 younger than 1 ( P = 0.005). In terms 5 eyes simply closely observed, 4 given single drainage, 15 drainage combined silicone tamponade, underwent anterior chamber puncture, gave up treatment. A vision: NLP ~ 20/30; among them, (7.14 %), 6 ? 20/200 (21.43 final outcomes presented a significantly positive correlation baseline vision but no significant or length. Conclusions has higher rate after which is lack vitreous support easier fluctuation pressure. more localized relatively good prognosis; aphakic/ pseudophakic are factors. Active can effectively improve prognosis. Trial registration Retrospective case series study, not applicable.

Secondary surgical management of suprachoroidal hemorrhage during pars plana vitrectomy.
INTRODUCTION Suprachoroidal hemorrhage (SCH) is one of the most feared and devastating complications of intraocular surgery. Intraoperative SCH is defined as sudden hemorrhagic swelling of the choroid which develops at time of intraocular surgery, and is associated with expulsion of some or all of the intraocular contents. CASE REPORT A 56-year-old man was admitted to our Clinic with bullose ...
متن کاملRhegmatogenous retinal detachment associated with massive spontaneous suprachoroidal hemorrhage and prognosis of pars plana vitrectomy.
AIM To describe the clinical characters of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) associated with massive spontaneous suprachoroidal hemorrhage (SSCH). To evaluate optimal timing and prognosis of pars plana vitrectomy. METHODS A retrospective review of 6 cases (6 eyes) of RRD and massive SSCH among 3772 cases of RRD was conducted. All of 6 patients were treated with twenty-gauge vitrectomy, ...

PURPOSE To examine retrospectively the visual outcomes in patients undergoing vitrectomy for epiretinal membranes secondary to sarcoid uveitis. METHODS Eleven consecutive patients (11 eyes) with epiretinal membrane and uveitis associated with sarcoidosis underwent pars plana vitrectomy. RESULTS Nine eyes (82%) gained two or more lines of Snellen visual acuity at 1-12 months after surgery. H...
متن کاملSmall Gauge Pars Plana Vitrectomy
Although the history of ophthalmic surgery can be dated back thousands of years with operations to treat cataracts, surgery involving the vitreous cavity has only been reported for less than 50 years. The initial description of major vitreous surgery was introduced by David Kasner in 1969 (Kasner, 1969). He described excision removal of the vitreous using a sponge and scissors, under an open sk...
متن کاملSclerotomy for pars plana vitrectomy.
Closed vitrectomy has largely supplanted the 'open sky' method, particularly because it results in minimal interference with the integrity of the globe. Ideally the pars plana sclerotomy should be sufficiently watertight to allow the intraocular pressure to be maintained during surgery without impeding free movement of the vitrectomy instrument within the eye. We describe a sclerotomy technique...
